Air Canada Buys Two Boeing 777-300ERs
9 November 20149. Air Canada to buy two more Boeing 777-300ER to join existing Boeing 777's fleet.
Currently the Canadian carrier has 23 of Boeing 777s, combination of -300ER Series and -200LR Series.
All of Boeing 777's will serve in international destination alongside with its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Air Canada said that only eighteen of them will fit into new business class product.
The new Boeing 777-300ER is expected to be delivered in second quarter of 2016. Calin Rovinescu, CEO and President of Air Canada said that ten years of labor contract by their pilots delivering stability and accelerate company's fleet initiatives and capital program. They happy to add two more Boeing 777-300ER.
The combination of Boeing 777 Series and new generation Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a key factor facing competition in international market and company's expansion plans.
