United Airlines Flies Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner To Australia

28 October 2014. The first operator of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, United Airlines, launches the longest route between Los Angeles and Melbourne.

During the ceremony at Melbourne Airport, passengers greeted with red, blue and white balloons, champagne and cake to celebrate the new flights.

Passengers also received certificate and gift in order celebrating party.

Dave Hilman, Senior Vice President of United Airlines said that the route was marking our commitment for Australian Market. He added, we are happy to announce non-stop service to Los Angeles hub in comfortable flight in brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a stretched version of original Boeing 787-8 able carry up to 252 passengers, divided in 48 business class, 88 economy plus and and rest 116 seats in economy class.

United Airlines will fly to Melbourne six return flights in a week and will be daily flight by March 2015. This is a part of company strategy to fill the emptiness of Virgin Atlantic route, previously Virgin serve the same route, by now they moved the service into Brisbane-Los Angeles and will fly daily.

Australian market become greater since the demand is increase, at the same time aircraft manufacturer able to produce green aircraft which very good in fuel efficiency.
